Residential Living Manager/Nurse

The Artesian of Ojai is Ventura County’s leader in creating home-like communities that provide the supportive services seniors require to pursue lives of quality and purpose.  Responsibilities will include building meaningful relationships with resident elders while managing the services they require.  We are seeking a person with uncompromising integrity to provide clinical leadership to our new Ojai community, the Artesian of Ojai.

The Resident Living Manager is responsible for managing the core functional areas of resident care including but not limited to assessing and reassessing residents, communication with physicians, team member scheduling and performance, and maintaining regulatory compliance.  The position will also partner with the Lifestyle Manager to ensure that high quality, nutritious food is served to residents.  Most importantly, the Manager shall exemplify the vision, mission and values of the company to all constituents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to cultivate and inspire a community culture that emphasizes compassionately delivered person-centered care.
  • Management and supervision of caregiving staff including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, counseling and scheduling.
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, analytical problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Establish, maintain and update all online resident health records.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality in all matters pertaining to resident health-related information.
  • Administrator of emergency call system. Responsible for ensuring calls are answered in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to assist in the event of an unusual occurrence or emergency evacuation.
  • Basic knowledge of state regulations impacting the delivery of clinical services.
  • Ability to listen and communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Complete TB test and drug screening within 7 days of hire, and health physical screening within 30 days of hire.
  • Complete CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 40 lbs. and lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • RN or LVN license
  • Minimum of two years’ experience managing the clinical needs of seniors in an assisted living community
  • Minimum of one year experience managing, supervising and training caregiving staff

 

Lifestyle Guide (Personal Care Aide) – Assisted Living    Day, Evening and Night Shifts

The Artesian of Ojai is Ventura County’s leader in creating home-like communities that provide the supportive services seniors require to pursue lives of quality and purpose.  Responsibilities will include building meaningful relationships with resident elders while improving quality of life and providing the care they require.  We are seeking a person with uncompromising integrity to care for our residents at our new Ojai community, the Artesian of Ojai.

The Lifestyle Guide is responsible for the well-being of our assisted living/memory support residents by providing the services required to support independence.  This position is a universal worker and will not only assist with the activities of daily living but also with dining, activities and housekeeping duties.  The PCT is responsible for meeting the individual needs of each resident as required by the resident service plan.  Most importantly, the PCT shall exemplify the vision, mission and values of the company to all constituents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living including showers, toileting, dressing, grooming, oral care, transfers and ambulation.
  • Participates in activity programming including identifying resident preferences for activities and offering hands-on guidance or assistance.
  • Assists in the dining room at meal time preparing food, serving meals and cleaning up.
  • Performs housekeeping duties such as tidying rooms, emptying trash and maintaining clean bathrooms.
  • Deep cleans resident rooms aas required.
  • Launders resident clothing as required.
  • Must possess an understanding of emergency call systems and be able to respond to an emergency signal coming from a resident room.
  • Must be able to perform basic documentation in the resident’s online medical record and maintain confidentiality of all health-related information.
  • Must be able to assist in the event of an unusual occurrence or emergency evacuation.
  • Must complete state-required in-service training in mandated time frame.
  • Ability to listen and communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Complete TB test and drug screening within 7 days of hire, and health physical screening within 30 days of hire.
  • Complete Basic First Aid within 30 days of hire and maintain regular certification.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or bend for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma
  • CNA licensure and/or some community college education preferred

 

Lifestyle Guide – Memory Support   Day, Evening and Night Shift

Campus Ambassador

The Artesian of Ojai is Ventura County’s leader in creating home-like communities that provide the supportive services seniors require to pursue lives of quality and purpose. Responsibilities will involve the overall maintenance of the buildings and grounds of the community and the transportation of residents to local appointments. We are seeking a person with uncompromised integrity to enhance our new Ojai community, the Artesian of Ojai.

The position will be responsible for routine building maintenance and will assist with the smooth transition of residents in and out of the community. Knowledge of the heating, electrical, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), security, fire safety and emergency response systems is vital.  The position will also be responsible for regular cleaning of the community pool and, time permitting, transporting residents to local appointments.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Inspects buildings and regularly tests systems to detect malfunctions, and identifies and arranges for needed repair. Maintains required documentation.
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacing light bulbs or repair of fixtures.
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance including replacement or repair of leaks or clogs in drains, faucets, and toilets.
  • Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work.
  • Performs regular cleaning and maintenance of community pool.
  • Supports the smooth transition of residents into and out of the community including moving and arranging furniture and hanging pictures.
  • Provide transportation services within the local community as required by residents.
  • Ability to listen and communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Complete TB test and drug screening within 7 days of hire, and health physical screening within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or bend for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • Two years of work experience in facility maintenance with basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and pool maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of regulations governing building and grounds maintenance
  • A Class B license is preferred
